WOODLANDS AT ZENDA

This project won a 2024 Citation of Design from the CNY American Institute of Architects. A repeat client of Taylored Architecture purchased an existing multi-structure property that consisted of a main house, boathouse, carriage house and skiff house. We facilitated new interior specifications and furnishings for the primary rooms of the main house. This included new flooring, beams, wall finishes and lighting. We also worked to bring the skiff house back to its original charm with the use of era appropriate fans, lighting, tile and woodwork. In the skiff house, we worked to add a new kitchen with custom cabinetry that would seamlessly blend in with the existing aesthetic. We also chose interior and exterior colors for the house and other property structures. We worked to blend the compound into the surrounding forest with the exterior color choice and chose a neutral color theme for the interior to invite the River to be the artwork of the home. Many of the clients’ existing furniture pieces were also reused or refurbished with environmental goals in mind.
